Mission Statement<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Royal Spirit Group believes that all companies should be\u00a0environmentally responsible and\u00a0is committed to the health and\u00a0comfort of its staff .<\/strong>
\n We therefore decided to adopt those values and policies when we founded our new manufacturing arm in Vietnam.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to achieve this we chose the LEED and Lotus certification\u00a0systems ,because of their relevance globally and in Vietnam.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have chosen \u00a0LEED and LOTUS certifications in \u201c the new buildings category , and are targeting Platinum level for bothcertifications.<\/strong><\/p>\n

LEED\u00a0a brief background .<\/strong><\/p>\n

LEED\u00a0http:\/\/www.usgbc.org\/<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0is a US-based certification program , which is applicable to global \"IMG_1432\"<\/a>projects as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is presently ( 2015\/6) the most widely used green building rating system in the\u00a0world ,<\/strong><\/p>\n

with 1.85 million square feet of construction space certifying\u00a0every day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

LEED certification provides independent verification of a building or\u00a0neighbourhood\u2019s green features,<\/strong><\/p>\n

allowing for the design, construction,\u00a0operations and maintenance of resource-efficient, high-performing,<\/strong><\/p>\n

healthy, cost-effective buildings..<\/strong><\/p>\n

In short LEED certification means healthier, more productive workplaces,\u00a0reduced stress on the environment<\/strong><\/p>\n

by encouraging energy and\u00a0resource-efficient buildings .\"IMG_1436\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Some of the benefits are an increased building value, higher lease rates and decreased utility costs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In fact, 88 of the Fortune 100 companies are already using LEED.<\/strong><\/p>\n

LOTUS\u00a0a brief background .<\/strong><\/h3>\n

LOTUS ,\u00a0http:\/\/www.vgbc.org.vn\/<\/a>\u00a0,\u00a0is one of the growing number of locally-based certifications,which are<\/strong><\/p>\n

structured and benchmarked similarly to international certifications, but are published in a dual-language\u00a0<\/strong>format and are attuned to local climate and construction practices.\"IMG_1435\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Where are we now in the certification process ?<\/strong><\/div>\n

As previously mentioned , DBW is targeting Platinum level for both certifications , and hopes to be the first<\/strong><\/p>\n

project in Vietnam and possibly in the region to aim for two independent Platinum level certifications .<\/strong><\/p>\n

After receiving the first-stage replies, DBW is proud to confirm that both Platinum certifications are on track<\/strong><\/p>\n

(expected in July \u2013 August 2016).<\/strong><\/p>\n

DBW\u2019s long list of green attributes includes the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n

ENERGY:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

44% of overall energy savings due to a mix of building envelope improvements,<\/strong><\/p>\n

LED lighting and\u00a0renewables<\/strong><\/p>\n

50% lighting energy reduction from LEDs\u00a030% of energy use is supplied by \"FullSizeRender\"<\/a>renewables\u00a0Commissioning carried out to international standards to improve operating efficiency<\/strong><\/p>\n

TRANSPORT MILES:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

electric bike and electric car facilities provided shuttle buses to the local bus stops\u00a0showers for bicycle users<\/strong><\/p>\n

WATER USE:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

60% of water reduction for process laundry use<\/strong><\/p>\n

85% of the open space is landscaped (due to our green roof concept )<\/strong><\/p>\n

100% localized species with low water requirements overall<\/strong><\/p>\n

Heat Island effect reduced on roof and hard surfaces<\/strong><\/p>\n

Local food production:\"V<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Rooftop garden harvest will contribute to worker\u2019s meals<\/strong><\/p>\n

100% capture and reuse of stormwater from roofs and 27% capture and infiltration at ground-level<\/strong><\/p>\n

COMFORT:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Building complies with international ventilation requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

Comfort is improved with air conditioning in all major working spaces\u00a096% of the working areas have views to the outside<\/strong><\/p>\n

The building is designed to be fully disabled-access compliant<\/strong><\/p>\n

POLLUTION:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Construction pollution controlled on site<\/strong><\/p>\n

No products using Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC\u2019s)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014VOC\u2019s are common toxins found in building\u00a0products that can off-gas to reduce air quality in the building<\/strong><\/p>\n

Low-greenhouse gas producing refrigerants<\/strong><\/p>\n

No smoking on the premises<\/strong><\/p>\n

MATERIAL USE<\/strong><\/h3>\n

42% of all materials are made of recycled content by cost\"IMG_1431\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

29% of materials are regional by cost<\/strong><\/p>\n

76% of reduction of use of traditional, highly polluting local bricks<\/strong><\/p>\n
